About me
My name is Emma Buckland. Thank you for visiting my website. A bit about me......
I am based in Ewell Village near Epsom in Surrey where I have lived for the last five and a half years.
I studied at Southampton University between 1995 and 1998 obtaining a degree in Physiology and Pharmacology before undergoing my veterinary training at the Royal Veterinary College. I qualified as a vet in 2003 and have been working in first opinion small animal practice since.
I have always had an interest in methods of recognising and managing pain in all small animal species which led me to attending a course in Veterinary Acupuncture in the spring of 2008. I have been carrying out treatments since, in addition to my day to day veterinary work. I have been so encouraged by the positive results to treatment that I have seen that I have taken the decision to develop Surrey Animal Acupuncture, a mobile veterinary acupuncture service offering clinics at established veterinary practices in addition to home visits for treatment if preferred
I am a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists (ABVA).
