Luke's Story.........
Luke is a 12year old German Shepherd
3 years ago he was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and spinal arthritis, and as a result was placed on very strong analgesics called PLT, after 2years on these he was coming to the end of his life, he was depressed, stiff and in a lot of pain.
We booked an appointment to see our vet and ask two questions.
Firstly if we could increase the tablets and secondly if we could not, how long before we needed to think about euthanasia, the vet then asked if we had considered acupuncture. Out of desperation more then belief we booked an appointment with Emma.
We arrived on the Thursday morning with Luke
Luke walked in depressed, stiff and immobile
He walked out a different dog, and 6 months down the line, can run, annoyingly jump on and scratch the sofas, and play with his beloved niece and nephew, Jasem and Zee who are siblings.
We have also reduced his medication by 50%, which although not a consideration has covered all the cost of his acupuncture.
